John Buston

I have been involved in arts administration for over thirty years switching from accountancy and teaching in the sixties. I started out in touring theatre for young people and arts centre management, followed by stints at the Arts Council in London and with the GLC where I was Head of Grants for Arts and Sport. Subsequently I was Chief Executive of the East Midlands Arts Board before it was taken over by the Arts Council.
Currently I am Chair of the Little Missenden Festival now in its 46th year as a Music and Arts Festival. I am also Chair of the Muir Trust which supports a biennial artist-in-residence programme at the Buckinghamshire County Museum in Aylesbury.
I believe the Forum is an important opportunity for everyone involved in the arts in the Chilterns' area.
