For all age groups

Description:

Wendy attended the Royal College of Art in London. A children's picture book author and illustrator, Wendy is a fine water colourist both in her illustration and her painting.

She has illustrated over 40 children's books. Her work has been published internationally and 'Sarah Scrap and her wonderful Heap' has appeared on BBC children's TV, has been adapted into a stage play and listed in the Top Ten 'National Federation of children's Book Groups'. She is currently working on a new book about optimism and hope for children.

Plants and wildlife proliferate in Wendy's natural environmentally friendly cottage garden where her studio is situated. Her Wendover cottage was once part of Anne Boleyn's wedding dowry to King Henry VIII.

Through her work Wendy is able to express her concerns over topical environmental issues. The books and pictures she produces focus on hope for our Planet, saying "Children should be optimistic about the future." Her latest book enables children to become empowered by actively participating and demonstrably helping. With imagination and practical help they succeed in effecting change, turning around a gloomy situation into something optimistic.
Wendy's work expresses her care, joy, and exuberance for the planet.

Wendy enables children and adults to feel elevated in the hope she imparts with positive work, full of enchantment and wonderment. Her work and ideas transcend the ordinary and mundane. Some recent visitors to her studio wrote:

  • "Full of mystery and imagination"
  • "Emotionally evocative"
  • "Very inspiring and wonderful"
  • "Highly distinctive work"
  • "Absolutely enchanting"
  • "fantastic creation of words and pictures"
  • "The work is imbued with an energy of Love and Light"

Her work is appreciated and collected by people who are seeking a transformation and want to share some of her vision to restore our vulnerable and fragile planet.
