In 1994, Jan won the BBC's 'Writer's Weekly' short story competition with her piece - 'Death by Pythagoras'. She has published her own collection of work - 'Serving Bluebird Pie' and her play - 'Blackberry Promises' was performed on the London Fringe in 2003 to excellent reviews.
