Barbara Pearman BA (also Art at the Barn)
Subject:
Fine Arts > Painting
Age Suitability:
For Adults
Description:
My passion for art was born whilst at school, where I gained a Foundation Scholarship to the prestigious Hornsey College of Art, London. Despite choosing a career in the commercial world, I maintained my love of the subject attending many courses and classes over the years. I was recently able to devote my time to fulfilling my ambition of gaining a Fine Art Degree with a view to using this qualification to teach art.
I also have a passion for the natural world, in particular plants and landscape, which has been a great influence on my work and provides an inexhaustible source of inspiration. I aim to create artwork that is energetic and powerful.
As well as developing my own work I have set up a local art group where artists share ideas and gain inspiration from each other.
Art at the Barn
The aim of the group is to provide a varied programme of still life, life drawing, and various 'exercises' aimed at stretching your drawing / painting potential. A qualified artist is on hand to guide and help you. You are free to explore whichever media you wish to work in and enjoy working in a comfortable, light environment, with a group of male and female artists of all abilities. Beginners welcome.
The group is both informative and fun, the main criteria is that you can develop and enjoy your art with a group of like minded artists.
Every Wednesday 1.30 - 4.30
Course fees £12 per session (3 hours)
